Building Financial Models That Actually Work

We started IgnitraFlux because we got tired of seeing businesses struggle with financial models that looked impressive but didn't help anyone make real decisions. Since 2019, we've been working with companies across Vietnam to create models that people actually use.

From Frustration to Foundation

Look, financial modeling can be mind-numbing. I spent years watching clients receive these massive Excel files that nobody understood. Beautiful charts, complex formulas — but when it came time to make a decision, everyone was lost.

So we decided to do things differently. Started with three clients in Buôn Ma Thuột, working out of a cramped office that smelled like instant coffee. Our first model was for a manufacturing company that needed to figure out expansion costs. Instead of drowning them in data, we built something they could actually navigate.

That approach caught on. By 2021, we were working with businesses across the Central Highlands, then Hanoi, then Ho Chi Minh City. Each project taught us something new about what works and what's just noise.

What Guides Our Work

These aren't just things we put on a website. They're the decisions we make when clients aren't watching and deadlines are tight.

01

Clarity Over Complexity

Anyone can make something complicated. We focus on models that your team can understand without a PhD. If it takes more than 10 minutes to explain, we rebuild it.

02

Real Scenarios

Business doesn't follow perfect assumptions. We build models that handle the messy reality of delayed payments, surprise expenses, and plans that change mid-quarter.

03

Ongoing Partnership

Delivering a model and disappearing isn't our style. Markets shift, businesses grow. We stick around to adjust and refine as your needs evolve.

Built Around Your Actual Needs

We don't show up with a template and force your business into it. Each engagement starts with understanding how your company actually operates — not how textbooks say it should.

First couple of meetings, we mostly listen. What keeps your finance team up at night? What questions do executives keep asking that nobody can answer quickly? Where do your current tools fall short?

  • Custom models built specifically for your business structure and decision-making process
  • Training sessions that get your team comfortable using the tools independently
  • Documentation written in plain language, not consultant-speak
  • Ongoing adjustments as your business priorities shift and grow

Spent 12 years in corporate finance before realizing I was building models nobody wanted to use. Moved to Vietnam in 2018, started IgnitraFlux the following year. These days, I work with businesses that are tired of financial tools that create more confusion than clarity.

Outside of work, you'll find me attempting to learn Vietnamese (still struggling with tones) and exploring coffee shops across the Central Highlands. My team jokes that I visit more cafes than clients.

"The best financial model is the one your team actually opens and uses. Everything else is just expensive decoration."
